How This Database Is Built
Exactly what 67,989 records means, where the data comes from, how emails are verified, and how often everything is refreshed. Last updated July 2026.
We count practices, not people
One record = one dental practice location. The database holds 67,989 US dental practices with 44,716 verified practice email addresses across all 50 states and DC. Many vendors advertise “200,000+ dentist contacts” by counting every individual dentist, including retired license holders and home addresses, and by counting the same dentist at multiple offices. We don't. If you are mailing, calling, or emailing offices, the practice is the unit that matters, and our counts reflect the number of distinct offices you can actually reach.
The exception is our named-dentist rosters (currently Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia), which add a separate per-dentist file with names, credentials, direct emails, and DSO affiliation tags on top of the practice file.
Where the data comes from
Records are compiled from public business information, including NPI (National Provider Identifier) data, practice websites, and Google Business Profiles, then matched and deduplicated so each office appears once. Every record carries its specialty tag, and 72% carry an NPI number you can use to cross-reference against the federal registry yourself.
How emails are verified
Every email address is run through MillionVerifier before release: SMTP checking, MX record validation, and bounce prediction. Average deliverability exceeds 95%. We publish the verified-email coverage rate (65% of practices) instead of pretending every record has an email, because a padded email column just burns your sender domain.

Refresh cadence
The database is refreshed monthly: new practices added, closed offices removed, and emails re-verified. Purchases include free updates (6 months on state lists, 12 months on the national database) delivered automatically. Every page on this site shows the date of the update it reflects.
